Tesla Inc. (TSLA) is closing in on a billion-dollar Bitcoin position without lifting a finger. The electric-vehicle maker’s 11,509 BTC stake has appreciated to roughly $915 million as Bitcoin trades near $79,500, a sharp rebound from the $674 million value recorded at the end of June and within reach of the $1 billion milestone that has kept the company in crypto headlines for years.

The automaker has not moved a single coin since its last sale in 2022, according to on-chain data from Arkham Intelligence, which first flagged the unchanged position in March 2024.
