Dr. Lessner joined KEMET in March 1996 as a Technical Associate in the Tantalum Technology Group. He has held several positions of increasing responsibility in the Technology and Product Management areas including Senior Technical Associate, Director Tantalum Technology, Director Technical Marketing Services and Vice President Tantalum Technology. Dr. Lessner was named Vice President, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Scientist in December 2006, Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Scientist in May 2011 and Senior Vice President and Chief Technology and Marketing Officer in November 2012 prior to his appointment to his current position. Dr. Lessner received a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Cooper Union.
