Prior to April 2018, Mr. Marcus served as the Company’s Chairman, Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”), and President. Mr. Marcus co-founded the Company in 1994 as a garage startup with $19 million in Series A capital stock and led its growth into an S&P 500® company with a total market capitalization of approximately $18.4 billion as of December 31, 2018, and significant market presence in key locations, including Greater Boston, San Francisco, New York City, San Diego, Seattle, Maryland, and Research Triangle.
