The Financial Conduct Authority’s plan to lift a ban on retail investors buying crypto ETPs won’t give Britain an edge in the fast-growing digital assets sector, some experts have warned.
The FCA announced on 6 June that it was considering lifting restrictions on crypto ETNs — a category of ETP — amid efforts to establish a crypto framework and to “support UK growth and competitiveness”.
