TradingKey – On September 28, Eastern Time, SpaceX (SPCX) Starship entered Earth orbit for the first time and deployed 26 Starlink V3 satellites into orbit.
During the ascent phase, one engine shut down early, and for safety reasons, the flight team subsequently shortened the originally planned 10-hour mission to about 3 hours. The spacecraft then left orbit, re-entered Earth’s atmosphere, and splashed down in the Pacific Ocean north of Hawaii.
On that day, SpaceX closed down 2.16% at $145.47. Starship’s first orbital entry and satellite deployment laid the foundation for future routine orbital launches, but failed to reverse the stock’s decline alongside the broader U.S. market.
