Payward, the parent company of crypto exchange Kraken, is in talks to become a crypto liquidity provider to Wells Fargo (NYSE: $WFC), according to two people familiar with the matter who spoke to CoinDesk.
Under the potential arrangement, Wyoming-based Payward would supply liquidity for digital asset trading, the people said, speaking on condition of anonymity because the discussions are private. Talks remain ongoing and may not result in a deal. Both companies declined to comment.
