Crypto.com has secured its first institutional funding round with a US$400 million investment from Citadel Securities, valuing the company at US$20 billion, with the money set to supercharge the firm’s expansion into all asset classes.

The investment comes as the digital asset industry undergoes rapid institutionalisation, with crypto increasingly serving as fundamental infrastructure for a greater part of the capital markets.

Crypto.com is in the process of expanding into all asset classes, including tokenised securities and derivatives, bridging the gap between digital asset and traditional markets to create a more efficient 24/7 financial ecosystem.
