US President Donald Trump yesterday said he had nothing to do with his personal finances, a day after he reported more than US$1.4 billion in income last year from his family’s crypto ventures.
A review of his annual financial disclosure for last year with the US Office of Government Ethics, released on Tuesday, disclosed that his companies received almost US$800 million from World Liberty Financial, a crypto venture he and his sons cofounded.
That income, which the president splits with family members, included more than US$520 million from sales of crypto tokens and more than US$250 million from the sale of interests in the World Liberty business.
