Thailand’s Securities and Exchange Commission is considering a framework to allow intermediaries to offer retail investors access to eligible crypto derivatives listed on overseas markets, assessing both contract features and the market where they trade. If adopted, the rule could broaden retail market access to crypto derivatives and boost adoption and liquidity while imposing eligibility and market-risk safeguards (coverage dated 1 September 2026).
