Tata Motors Share Price: Tata Motors shares slip 3% as JLR production slumps 7%, retail sales down 3% in Q2

Shares of Tata Motors slipped 3% in an intraday session to its day’s low of Rs 901 after Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), a subsidiary of Tata Motors, reported a 3% decline in retail sales, with 1,03,108 units sold during the second quarter of FY25, compared to the same period last year.

Retail sales for the first half of the fiscal year reached 2,14,288 units, up 3% year-on-year, Tata Motors said in a statement.

Production in Q2 FY25 was restricted to 86,000 units, a 7% decline compared to 93,000 units in the same period last year. The company attributed this drop to aluminium supply disruptions that occurred in Q1 FY25.
