Stocks fall in a day of ups and downs
The benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange fell today after experiencing ups and downs the whole day.
The index rose 13 points in the first hour of trading, but lost 51 points in the middle part of the day.
Finally, the DSEX dropped 17 points, or 0.29 per cent, to end the day at 5,990.
Turnover, another important indicator of the market, fell 19.21 per cent to Tk 1,736 crore.
At the DSE, 102 stocks advanced, 203 fell and 54 remained unchanged.
