SoFi Tech Solutions, formerly Galileo, today announced a partnership with Mexican fintech Orbi and Mastercard to launch a crypto-linked card program in Mexico.
The program will let Orbi customers use either traditional fiat currency or funds from their crypto balances through a seamless conversion at the time of purchase, while merchants receive traditional fiat currency.
SoFi Tech Solutions will provide the BIN sponsorship and financial technology infrastructure behind the Orbi card program, including issuing, transaction authorization, processing and compliance capabilities.
