The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has included three cryptocurrency-related items in its 2026 regulatory agenda.
The Block reported on July 7 that the agenda includes a new proposal to revise rules for exchanges and broker-dealers as part of a broader digital-asset regulatory framework.
SEC Chair Paul Atkins said the agency is embracing innovation to bring more financial products to the United States and is preparing clearer rules for capital raising through crypto assets.
He added that the SEC is also setting clearer standards for how market participants can custody tokenized securities on-chain and support trading in them.
