SEC Abruptly Postpones Vote on Crypto Offering Exemptions — BigGo Finance

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission abruptly called off a meeting scheduled for Friday that was expected to include a vote on whether to propose sweeping new rules for crypto asset offerings, according to a statement from an agency spokesperson.

The meeting was set to consider publishing a proposal known informally as Regulation Crypto, which would establish a bespoke offering regime for digital asset investment contracts under the Securities Act. An SEC spokesperson attributed the postponement to “an unforeseen scheduling issue,” without providing further details.
