Robinhood Markets (NASDAQ:HOOD) rose 0.35% premarket after reporting record second-quarter revenue of $1.31 billion, up 32%, and diluted earnings of $0.62 a share against the $0.43 analysts expected. About $0.14 of that came from gains tied to the deconsolidation of Robinhood Ventures Fund I.
Event contracts revenue reached $156 million, up more than tenfold on 13.6 billion contracts traded. Equities revenue nearly doubled to $129 million and options rose 29% to $342 million. Crypto went the other way, down 38% to $100 million, with notional volume on the Robinhood app falling 35%.
