Opter AB (publ)’s (STO:OPTER) 26% Cheaper Price Remains In Tune With Earnings
Opter AB (publ) (STO:OPTER) shareholders won’t be pleased to see that the share price has had a very rough month, dropping 26% and undoing the prior period’s positive performance. Instead of being rewarded, shareholders who have already held through the last twelve months are now sitting on a 17% share price drop.
Even after such a large drop in price, Opter may still be sending bearish signals at the moment with its price-to-earnings (or “P/E”) ratio of 33.2x, since almost half of all companies in Sweden have P/E ratios under 22x and even P/E’s lower than 14x are not unusual. Nonetheless, we’d need to dig a little deeper to determine if there is a rational basis for the elevated P/E.
