New suspect connected to ‘Crypto King of Kentucky’ surrenders in kidnapping, torture case
A second suspect connected to the alleged kidnapping and torture of an Italian man in a plot to steal his digital currency has turned himself in to authorities.William Duplessie, accompanied by his lawyers, surrendered to the NYPD’s Major Case Squad detectives. Officials identified Duplessie as a business partner of John Woeltz, 37, who is known by some as the “Crypto King of Kentucky.”The victim, an Italian citizen and another business associate of the two men, was reportedly held captive inside a townhome for over two weeks.
