Latvijas Banka, the Latvian central bank (LB) issued a licence on May 20th to a company called Neverless for the provision of crypto-asset services
The Supervision Committee of Latvijas Banka issued a licence, making Neverless SIA the fourth company to hold such a licence since the scehem was introduced in 2024.
Such licences are in accordance with the requirements established in the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA). The MiCA Regulation entered into force in late 2024, introducing a unified legal framework for the crypto-asset sector within the EU, including the requirement for crypto-asset service providers to obtain authorisation.
