For Jesse Brunt, buying a new house off the plan in 2019 for $460,000 in Geelong, Victoria’s second-biggest city, and keeping it as an investment while he rents in Sydney’s harbourside suburb of Kirribilli is about to pay off big time.
“I thought keeping that was better than nothing. I just decided to hold it, and it’s done well,” Brunt said of the four-bedroom house that is probably worth close to $800,000 now.
