Keep crypto in the middle
In the past few years, the cryptocurrency industry has undergone major paradigm shifts in policy and perception. In July, Congress passed the GENIUS Act — a three-prong establishment of federal regulations that gives cryptocurrency credible recognition in the public sector. However, this leap for the industry was no easy feat: obstacles to its recognition have been shaped less by partisan divides, and more by broad debates over its regulation and integration. The politicization of cryptocurrency is problematic because it undermines its hedge against inflation, gives investors disproportionate influence and stunts its globalization potential.
