Just 5% of IFAs see crypto as investment opportunity
Around 5 per cent of IFAs see cryptocurrency as an investment opportunity for clients.
A recent survey by Opinium revealed 66 per cent of advisers said they felt negative about crypto as an investment opportunity for their clients.
The reasons for the negative connotations was because 42 per cent said they did not trust cryptocurrencies and 34 per cent did not think it was safe.
Some IFAs were concerned about security when it came to crypto, with 51 per cent believing it was more at risk of fraud and scams.
Meanwhile, more than half (56 per cent) believed it was not a market that was regulated enough which left it open to crime.
