JPMorgan has one of the most developed crypto infrastructure teams among the big banks so it’s no surprise that it is a source of talent for rivals pushing into crypto. Barclays is one such bank; it recently hired a London-based MD for a newly created role within its corporate bank.

Scott Lucas joined as Barclays’ head of digital assets wholesale, reporting to corporate bank CEO Matt Hammerstein. A statement from the British bank said that Lucas will work across “tokenised deposits, digital securities and supporting payments and settlement infrastructure.”
