Speculation that X payment service X Money will integrate cryptocurrencies has grown following the company’s announcement of its design lead pick.

X owner Elon Musk on Wednesday welcomed Benji Taylor, a designer with strong cryptocurrency roots, as design lead at X.

Taylor was most recently head of design at Coinbase Global Inc.’s (NASDAQ:COIN) Base Ethereum Layer 2 team. Before Base, he worked as chief product officer at Aave Labs, the company behind the largest decentralized finance protocol of the same name.
