Some experts are calling for a recession in the next year. Here’s why it shouldn’t affect your strategy.
After more than two years in a bull market, the stock market is still surging. The S&P 500 (^GSPC 0.38%) is up by more than 60% from its lowest point in October 2022, while the Nasdaq (^IXIC 0.09%) has soared by nearly 76% in that time.
Even the best bull markets can’t last forever, though, and some investors are worried that a market slump and perhaps even a recession are around the corner.
It may be impossible to predict whether a recession is coming in the next year or not, but there’s still good news about the future of the market.
