An Iowa police department is asking potential victims to come forward after a Columbia man was arrested on suspicion of running a cryptocurrency investment scheme.
A news release from the Ankeny Police Department said it was contacted by the Columbia Police Department in regards to an investment fraud investigation that led to the arrest of Charles Spencer Burri.
Missouri investigators informed Ankeny police that during their investigation, they uncovered evidence that the suspect possibly met with individuals in Ankeny and the Des Moines metro area during July 2025, according to the release.
