Inland Revenue’s cryptocurrency crackdown has identified tens of millions of dollars in unpaid taxes, but a leading specialist accountant expects the real figure to be much greater.
Last year the tax department announced it would crack down on unpaid tax from Bitcoin (and other cryptocurrency) transactions. According to its annual report, it has done just that.
