Hyperliquid’s HYPE token has secured a spot in the Nasdaq CME Crypto Index, a benchmark tracked by regulated financial products, marking the latest expansion of institutional crypto indexing beyond the two largest digital assets.
The addition took effect Tuesday as part of the index’s scheduled quarterly rebalancing, according to a prospectus supplement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. HYPE enters the index with a 3.36% weighting, placing it just behind Solana at 3.79% and ahead of the combined weight of Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, and Bitcoin Cash, which together account for less than 1.5%.
