Hedge fund manager Eric Jackson, who gained popularity among trading circles for triggering the Opendoor Technologies (Nasdaq: OPEN) rally this year, is now betting on a business model that has found detractors among leading providers of stock market indices.
Jackson is a tech and media investor who founded a hedge fund called EMJ Capital Ltd. in Canada in 2017 where he serves as president and portfolio manager. The fund uses a proprietary AI/ML-driven algorithm to choose tech equities.
