Franklin Templeton explores crypto ETP offering in Europe
Franklin Templeton is considering a cryptocurrency exchange-traded product (ETP) offering in Europe, ETF Stream understands.
After BlackRock entered the fray with a bitcoin exchange-traded product (ETP) last week, Franklin Templeton would be the latest example of a traditional asset manager turning to digital assets in Europe in the hope of capturing a wave of institutional demand.
The $1.6trn asset manager already has an $811m crypto ETF franchise in the US with its largest product, the Franklin Bitcoin ETF (EZBC), currently holding $415m in assets under management (AUM).
