Four Crypto Firms Obtain First MiCA Licenses in the Netherlands, Signaling New EU Regulatory Phase

Four digital asset companies have become the first to secure coveted Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) licenses in the Netherlands, highlighting the country’s early adoption of the European Union’s new regulatory framework. The Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) awarded licenses to MoonPay, BitStaete, ZBD, and Hidden Road, granting each firm the right to operate across the EU’s 27 member states.
