Fidelity IRA lets investors add bitcoin, ether and litecoin to retirement

Fidelity now lets individual investors add bitcoin, ether and litecoin to retirement accounts through a new Fidelity Crypto IRA that supports traditional, Roth and rollover IRAs, according to company pages and coverage of the product.

The Fidelity Crypto IRA offering appears on Fidelity’s site as a way to “Invest directly in crypto with a Fidelity Crypto® IRA,” listing bitcoin, ether and other supported tokens, and the firm says clients can choose Roth, traditional or rollover accounts to hold digital assets in retirement, per Fidelity’s product page and a finance report.
