Explained: Why HCLTech stock price fell nearly 10% despite positive Q3 results
Shares of HCL Technologies Ltd. fell nearly 10% on Tuesday despite the company meeting street expectations in its third quarter (Q3FY25) results.
At 10:46 am, HCLTech’s shares were trading 9.02% lower at Rs 1,806.20 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). Earlier, its shares hit an intraday low of Rs 1,798.40.
HCL Technologies Q3 results
HCLTech reported a net profit of Rs 4,591 crore, a 5.5% year-on-year (YoY) increase from Rs 4,350 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Revenue from operations rose 5.07% YoY to Rs 29,890 crore.
Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) stood at Rs 5,821 crore, up 8.6% YoY, with EBIT margins improving by 90 basis points to 19.5%.
