EQT is partnering with one of its portfolio companies to launch a digital infrastructure investing platform, adding to the mountain of capital being poured into the AI buildout.

Data center builder and operator EdgeConneX will fully seed the new strategy, with the Stockholm-headquartered private equity firm bringing lessons learned and relationships from its $100 billion digital infrastructure and energy portfolio.

“Infrastructure is now the defining factor for AI’s continued expansion,” said partner Jan Vesely, in a statement announcing the tie-up. “Integrated solutions are needed across chips, data centers, energy and connectivity.”
