Dubai regulator steals a march on crypto supervision with AI

Dubai is aiming to leapfrog global crypto regulators by deploying artificial intelligence to detect suspicious transactions in real time.

The Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority rolled out the first stage of its AI-based VARA Connect project, designed to be plugged into the systems used by virtual asset service providers, earlier this month.
