Renowned economist Nouriel Roubini argued that the future of money won’t be shaped by cryptocurrency, highlighting the ongoing crash in Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) and other leading tokens.
In a Project Syndicate op-ed titled “The Coming Crypto Apocalypse,” Roubini said that many people were upbeat after President Donald Trump took office, given his pro-cryptocurrency stance. They had anticipated Bitcoin to emerge as the “digital gold”, with its value hitting at least $200,000 by the end of 2025.
