Discipline body refutes claims ex-official mined crypto
Guizhou anti-corruption authorities have dismissed online claims that a former big data official mined 327 bitcoins on government servers, China Newsweek reported.
Social media posts alleged that Jing Yaping, the ousted former director of the provincial big data development authority, mined coins worth an estimated 150 million yuan ($20.91 million). Guizhou”s discipline inspection commission and provincial commission of supervision said the claim is false and that the case does not involve bitcoin, according to the report.
