A single cryptocurrency investor has executed one of the more notable portfolio rotations in recent weeks, selling more than 1,100 Bitcoin on the decentralized exchange Hyperliquid and using the proceeds to acquire Ethereum before staking the entire position. The transaction, valued at roughly $87 million, underscores a growing divergence in the performance trajectories of the two largest digital assets.
On-chain analytics platform Lookonchain reported that the whale sold 1,107 BTC, worth approximately $86.76 million, over a five-day period. The same address then purchased 34,422 ETH, equivalent to about $86.5 million, and immediately placed the full amount into staking rather than holding the tokens for short-term trading.
