Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Financial Services Authority (OJK) stressed that crypto asset traders must maintain security and bear responsibility if consumers’ digital financial assets stored by the traders are lost.

OJK Chief Executive for Financial Sector Technology Innovation, Digital Financial Assets, and Crypto Assets Supervision, Adi Budiarso, said the provision is part of consumer protection against asset loss risks caused by trading system security breaches.

“Traders are required to maintain security and be responsible if consumers’ digital financial assets stored by the traders are lost,” Budiarso said at an online press conference here on Thursday (Nov 5).
