Major asset management firms have recently published guidance on the appropriate level of cryptocurrency exposure for investment portfolios. According to a report from Yahoo Finance, these proposals show a notable degree of alignment.
Proposed Allocation Ranges
BlackRock advises an allocation of 1% to 2% to Bitcoin within a traditional portfolio of stocks and bonds. The firm’s analysis indicates that a 2% position contributes a similar level of risk as a holding in one of the so-called Magnificent Seven stocks, but exceeding that level can cause risk to increase significantly.
