Crypto M&A Value Set a New ATH in H1 2026 Despite a Decline in Deal Count

CryptoRank Research analyzed the state of crypto M&A in H1 2026. Buyers announced 87 acquisitions, 25% fewer than in H2 2025, while disclosed value climbed to $9.66 billion, the highest half-year total in the series. Wider disclosure and a handful of mega-deals produced that record, not a market-wide rise in transaction prices.

Crypto M&A did not enter a broad consolidation boom in H1 2026. While there were fewer announced M&A deals than in either half of 2025, the value attached to disclosed transactions reached the highest half-year total.
