Crypto investors are moving into altcoins and away from Bitcoin (CRYPTO: $BTC) as markets prepare for a potentially tougher U.S. interest-rate backdrop, according to new data from CoinMarketCap.

In a recent note shared with Cryptoprowl, Alice Liu, Head of Research at CoinMarketCap, said the platform’s Altcoin Season Index climbed 59% in the past week, rising from 27 to 43. “Capital isn’t leaving crypto, it’s rotating out of Bitcoin into everything else,” she said.
