On February 2, news emerged that the cryptocurrency market had plummeted. As of the time of writing, $Bitcoin (BTC.CC)$Bitcoin fell by 3.00%, trading at $75,267.62; $Ethereum (ETH.CC)$Ethereum dropped by 5.15%, trading at $2,195.97, with a decline of nearly 10% within 24 hours.


According to Dagu Wen Hui, Yu Weiwén, President of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), stated today that the first round of applications for stablecoin licenses received submissions from 36 institutions. These applications are currently under continuous evaluation, with hopes of reaching a decision as soon as possible, aiming to issue the first batch of licenses in March.
