Commodity Futures Trading Commissionย (CFTC)ย Chairman Michael S. Seligย said Wednesday (July 8) that โweโre so closeโ and that it is critical to have a federal standard for crypto assets rather than the current patchwork of state laws and regulations.
Speaking on the Fox Business show โMornings with Maria,โ Selig said: โWe want to get this done so we have certainty, clarity and consumer protection. It should be a bipartisan issue. Weโve got to get it across the line.โ
