BSE Share Price: Jefferies lays out four expiry-related scenarios that can impact profitability

Shares of BSE Ltd. will be in focus on Friday, September 12 after the fall that the stock saw on Thursday.

BSE shares fell 5% on Thursday after CNBC-TV18 reported citing exclusive sources that a consultation paper by market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) will be put out within the next one month, seeking opinions on curbing weekly expiries and providing a glide path towards monthly expiries.

Brokerage firm Jefferies said in a note that all eyes today will be on the SEBI board meeting later today. It has laid out four scenarios for BSE based on a potential expiry move from weekly to fortnightly and monthly, and with and without same-day expiries. Here’s a look at all of those scenarios:
