Bitcoin’s first weekly close above its 50-week moving average in nearly a year ignited a broad crypto rally on Sunday, pushing the total digital asset market capitalization up 2.14% to $2.8 trillion and drawing fresh institutional money into spot exchange-traded funds.
The breakout, confirmed by Galaxy Research data showing BTC closed the week ending September 20 at $81,159 — roughly 3% above the 50-week average near $78,786 — marked the first such close in 45 weeks. Bitcoin traded at $81,500, up 1.52% over 24 hours, while Ethereum climbed 3.23% to $2,658, XRP gained 3.64% to $1.43, and Solana rose about 3.5% to $111.95.
