Bitget lost $387.5 million through a supplier’s security product. Liquid Network lost $319 million because of a flaw in its node software. Hacken’s Q3 report says about 77% of the quarter’s $1.18 billion came from outside what audits cover. The Q3 2026 losses are large enough to demand attention on their own.

Hacken’s Q3 2026 Security and Compliance Report counts about $1.18 billion stolen across 107 incidents between July and September, a 55% jump from the prior quarter.

CertiK uses a broader definition of an incident and puts the total at $1.26 billion across 247 incidents, up 53.9% from $819.4 million in Q2. The methodologies differ, but both show losses rising by more than half.
