Crypto ‘Godfather’ Adam Iza Sentenced to 78 Months for $37M Meta Fraud and Deputy Abuse — BigGo Finance

A 26-year-old cryptocurrency entrepreneur who branded himself “The Godfather” received a 78-month federal prison sentence Monday for a sprawling scheme that siphoned more than $37 million from Meta Platforms’ advertising systems, dodged taxes by routing money through crypto custodians, and paid off-duty Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies to obtain confidential records and intimidate his adversaries.

U.S. District Judge Percy Anderson in Los Angeles also ordered Adam Iza to pay $23.4 million in restitution, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California. Iza pleaded guilty in January 2025 to conspiracy against rights, wire fraud, and tax evasion, and has been in federal custody since September 2024.
