Crypto industry spends big to try to stop Sherrod Brown from winning in Ohio

The cryptocurrency industry, which spent heavily to defeat Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) in 2024, is spending millions of dollars more to prevent him from returning to the Senate this year.

Defend American Jobs, a super PAC funded by crypto companies and investors, is spending $11.4 million on ads to help Sen. Jon Husted (R-Ohio) defeat Brown, according to campaign finance disclosures. Geoff Vetter, a spokesman for the super PAC, said it plans to spend $30 million in the race.
