Lloyds Banking Group‘s (LSE:LLOY) share price has fallen sharply in recent days. This isn’t a surprise: investors are taking profits as central bank rate hikes now appear imminent. “Buy the rumour and sell the fact”, as they say.

Expectations of Bank of England (BoE) action has fuelled Lloyds’ shares since the Iran war began earlier this year. Over six months, the FTSE 100 bank has gained a whopping 14.3% in value, moving to 108p per share.

That’s almost double the gains of the broader FTSE 100. But where could the Black Horse Bank be heading next? There are some big differences of opinion among City analysts…
