IRISH crime gangs are renting private vaults to hide cash, cryptocurrency keys, luxury watches and handbags worth six figures, officials have said.
The country’s the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) recently reported the use of private vaults to the Government’s Anti-Money Laundering Steering Committee. The committee oversees Ireland’s preparations for new EU rules targeting dirty money.
